    Description of the environment:

    The project is situated within the Savannah Grassland belt, which in itself is very flat, with some low-lying areas. The trees are sparsely situated and typically not very tall. There are different types of soil which allow grains (millet, maize and sorghum) and legumes (peanuts, soya beans and cow pea) to be grown in some areas. Other areas which are predominantly heavy clay allow for rice to be grown.

  • Health educational programs continue to reduce the mortality rate
  • Dry season gardening translates to food security
  • Improved animal care programs<
  • The development of the NEA seedbank program
  • Academic education standards improved with the construction & staffing of three schools
