    Description of the environment:

    The project is situated within the Savannah Grassland belt, which in itself is very flat, with some low-lying areas. The trees are sparsely situated and typically not very tall. There are different types of soil which allow grains (millet, maize and sorghum) and legumes (peanuts, soya beans and cow pea) to be grown in some areas. Other areas which are predominantly heavy clay allow for rice to be grown.

  • The development of the NEA seedbank program
